Job summary

The Sustainability in the Workplace Intern at The Pennsylvania State University will contribute to education and engagement efforts across campus. The role involves developing and managing educational resources, supporting the Sustainable Labs Program, and engaging staff in university-wide initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a presently-enrolled student with a strong GPA, excellent communication skills, and an interest in sustainability.

Qualifications

• Presently-enrolled student with GPA above 3.0 and strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
• Interest in sustainability issues and concepts, with curiosity and strategic thinking.
• Experience developing educational programs or materials is a plus.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, planning and implementation of educational programming.
• Support Sustainable Labs Program and university-wide Employee Resource Group activities.
• Develop educational resources similar to Green Paws Certification and engage staff.
• Collaborate with PSU Sustainability and HR on training integration.
