Job summary

The University of Maine System seeks a Student Success Advocate for a 12-month, in-person role based primarily at the Machias campus with travel to Orono. You will serve as a dedicated advocate, bridging two campuses and helping students access resources and vibrant campus life.

You will use EAB Navigate to identify early warning signs and deliver proactive, data-driven support, engaging with students holistically and participating in occasional weekend events to foster belonging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; required experience in academic advising or student services.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate for students and support diverse populations.
• Preferred master's degree and higher education experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide student success advocacy and holistic support to learners.
• Travel between UMaine Machias and Orono to ensure seamless student experiences.
• Leverage EAB Navigate to identify early warning signs and deliver proactive, data-driven support.
• Engage with students and campus partners, including occasional weekend events to build belonging.
