Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Structural Maintenance Manager to direct the Off Campus Zone Shop, supervising HVAC, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters and other trades. The role requires coordinating resources, scheduling work and maintaining high service levels for campus facilities.

Applicants should have an associate degree or equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience, with preferred supervisory experience in maintenance facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience.
• Five years of supervisory experience and five years of experience working in a maintenance facility are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities of the zone shop personnel.
• Performs the administrative functions of a foreman. This includes approving time cards, annual evaluations, determining training needs, etc.
• Responds to after-hours emergency needs.
• Meets with customers to discuss needs.
• Performs planned after hours work.
• Performs other work as required in support of general maintenance activities.
