Job summary

Colorado Mountain College is seeking a part-time Campus Store Clerk to support textbook distribution, returns, and the Learning Materials Program. You will assist customers, handle cash, and maintain registers and displays in a busy campus store environment.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with a focus on accurate cash handling, friendly service, and efficient merchandising. Employment is on-site at the Colorado Mountain College campus in Colorado.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic retail practices
• Ability to handle cash and process transactions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed
• Familiar with inventory and stock control procedures
• Comfort with basic math and computing tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases and provide information on stock availability
• Sell merchandise and process cash, checks, or credit card charges
• Open/close campus store procedures and counts cash drawer
• Maintain stock inventory and prepare low-stock lists for reorder
• Assist with booklists, buybacks, and returns of textbooks
• Perform routine clerical tasks including mail and deliveries
