Job summary

The role requires a valid Texas CDL with passenger endorsement and a current DOT Medical Card, high school diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL with passenger endorsement and DOT Medical Card required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and the public.
• Must learn computer usage related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Drive a full-sized passenger bus on designated routes.
• Perform daily safety inspections and fueling.
• Discharge riders at authorized stops and maintain order.
• Complete required reports and promptly communicate incidents.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance and safety compliance.
• Serve as Campus Security Authority.
• Answer questions about schedules and transfer points.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
