The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC - Univ) seeks a Campus Shuttle Operator to safely transport employees, students, and visitors around the Medical District under general supervision.

Position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of driving or related experience. The role is full-time with hourly pay and involves vehicle inspection, logging, fueling, cleaning, and timely reporting of incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and one year experience in truck driving, operating a crane or operating a motor vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Transports employees, students, and visitors to MUSC and areas within the assigned area of operations; boards and discharges passengers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor vehicle performance on the road and immediately isolate and remedy issues that are within the normal scope of a vehicle operator’s responsibility.
• Maintains administrative and operational logs including inspection forms, mileage logs, passenger counts, accident/incident reports, and updates on mandatory training requirements.
• Communicates effectively with passengers and customers in a respectful way regarding transportation schedules and services; maintains work records and reports incidents.
• Fueling and cleaning of the vehicle; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, washing; performs pre/post vehicle inspections and adds fluids as needed.
• Performs other duties including substituting for other drivers, day trips, and of town travels.
