Job summary

University of Arizona in Tucson is seeking a Transportation Driver II (Academic) to operate 14–32 seat shuttles and golf carts on campus routes. The role requires a CDL with Passenger Endorsement and a valid driver’s license, with a 9-month academic calendar and 40 hours/week when scheduled.

Occasional weekend events apply; position includes comprehensive benefits and 16.50–18.75 USD hourly pay. Open to 2 vacancies with target hire date in late November 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Responsibilities

• Operates multi-passenger vehicles (14–32 seats) to transport passengers to University locations and events.
• Performs routine service and maintenance: fuels, cleans, checks fluids, tires, lights, wipers.
• Adheres to CDL regulations and Fleet Safety Policy; follows SOPs and performance standards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reports mechanical or safety issues.
• Maintains cleanliness of shuttle compound area.
