Job summary

West Virginia University is seeking a Supervisor of Operations within Campus Services to organize, schedule, and supervise the Operations Unit of the Facilities Management Department. You will lead Campus Service Workers and Maintenance staff, ensuring cleaning and maintenance across assigned buildings and timely completion of custodial services.

Under supervision, you will develop work plans, monitor time records, coordinate with maintenance, and manage supplies and budgets to meet WVU

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least three years of personnel management experience, including supervising 6+ employees.
• Experience with custodial equipment, chemicals and procedures.
• Budget management and purchasing experience.
• At least one year of experience using electronic time management systems.
• An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activity of Campus Service Workers and Senior Campus Service Workers.
• Inspect facilities and equipment and coordinate repair work with the maintenance unit.
• Maintain employee time records and monitor the electronic time recording system.
• Manage inventory and procurement of supplies, and monitor budgets to stay within funding.
• Schedule shifts and special assignments to meet housekeeping requirements and WVU standards.
