Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1st Aid/Child CPR training maintained for duration of employment.
• Right Response training to be maintained for duration of employment.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
• Experience with diverse cultures, ethnicities, and languages preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance by WA State Patrol and FBI.
• Immunization clearance if born after 1957.
• I-9 Employment Eligibility as per federal law and district trainings within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and supervise campus to ensure student and property safety.
• Assist administrators by restricting unauthorized visitors and keeping hallways secure.
• Assist in locker searches for weapons/contraband; investigate thefts and disturbances.
• Conduct security investigations and provide security at other facilities as needed.
• Coordinate apprehension of rule violators and assist law enforcement; testify in court when required.
• Enforce district tobacco, drug, and alcohol policies.
• Record keeping, report writing, and issuing trespass notices as needed.
• Establish liaison with police and fire agencies; stay informed on security best practices.
• Maintain knowledge of district policies and emergency procedures; support emergency plans.
• Be consistently present at assigned site and interact professionally with students, staff, and the public.
• Perform related duties and comply with district policies.
