Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Security Patrol Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, or Peace Officer. An Associate’s degree may substitute for 1 year; a Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 2 years.
• Knowledge of city ordinances, State and federal law, and traffic control procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Certified First Responder and dispatching experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine public safety duties including patrolling assigned areas and enforcing rules.
• Control access using keys and monitor buildings and housing for unauthorized persons.
• Assist facilities with projects, cleaning and repair work as needed.
• Enforce campus parking regulations and provide safety escorts.
• Maintain Campus Security log and submit incident reports as required.
