Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a part-time Security Police Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role requires patrols, incident response, report writing, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Under supervision of the Chief of Security Police, responsibilities include enforcing policies, responding to emergencies, detaining suspects when appropriate, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1 year of campus security/police, military, or law enforcement preferred.
• Must pass psychological evaluation and maintain required certifications.
• Maintain valid MI driver's license and comply with MCOLES requirements.
• Ability to operate electronic control devices and follow use-of-force policy.

Responsibilities

• Represent Trinity Health by guiding patients, staff and visitors; enforce safety policies.
• Patrol grounds and buildings to ensure policy compliance and report violations.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; detain within legal and policy guidelines.
• Prepare daily activity and incident reports for management.
• Perform maintenance checks on defibrillators and security equipment.
• Address safety hazards and assist with customer service needs as required.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and organizational policies.
