Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Full Time Unarmed Incident Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA. You will patrol campus areas, deter incidents, provide outstanding customer service, and document activities in line with campus protocols.

The role requires being at least 18, a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing a background check and drug screen. A valid driver's license is needed for driving positions. This is a full-time daytime schedule with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs while communicating professionally with campus representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
