Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Minneapolis, MN to protect clients across campus settings. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

This full-time role includes a daytime schedule and requires strong communication and professionalism. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, documenting observations, and supporting event operations while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unlawful activity.
• Document incidents and observations promptly and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, and support for campus events and daily operations.
