Job summary

Big Bend Community College (BBCC) seeks applicants for Temporary Hourly (Security) positions in the Columbia Basin region. These non-benefit, part-time roles provide security presence on campus, patrol grounds, report violations, and assist in emergencies.

Training will be provided, with emphasis on safety, diversity, and community engagement. Open until filled, the positions pay $20.00 per hour, based on timesheets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of security or law enforcement and related procedures.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide security presence on campus on foot or in patrol vehicle.
• Investigate incidents and assist law enforcement as needed.
• Direct and regulate traffic and monitor campus parking areas.
• Operate alarms, surveillance, and communications equipment; file incident reports.
