The position requires responding to alarms, providing escort services, and assisting with incident reporting and FERPA compliance. Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills are essential for student and staff safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to resolve individual and group conflicts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Adept at coordinating with external responders (police, health services).

Responsibilities

• Analyze situations quickly and objectively; determine and take action.
• Contact police, health services, or emergency responders as needed.
• Provide escort services to students and staff.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Provide rapid first aid or health-related assistance.
• Assist students and visitors with directions and information.
• Maintain professionalism with a focus on safety.
• Patrol buildings and check for safety concerns.
• Lock/unlock buildings and evacuate as necessary.
• Assist with Clery Act compliance and incident reporting.
