Job summary

Allied Universal® in Asheville, NC is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Reporting) to protect students, staff and visitors while maintaining a welcoming campus environment. You will conduct routine patrols, deter security concerns, document observations, and respond to alarms and incidents with professionalism, using site procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal and applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may apply; a valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner per campus procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and document observations.
• Communicate with campus personnel and local responders as needed during operations.
