Job summary

The position requires Level II TX private security certification, a valid Texas driver license, and comfort working in an educational setting with adolescents. Prior security experience preferred.

Qualifications

• College hours, high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Texas Driver License and available transportation.
• Level II security commission from the Texas Commission on Private Security.
• Ability to record information.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Ability to work effectively with students.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Working knowledge of personal and property security techniques and electronic security systems.

Responsibilities

• Protect students, staff, and district property under supervision.
• Serve as a security resource to students and campus personnel.
• Coordinate with Katy ISD police and security staff during events and incidents.
• Identify unauthorized persons and verify authority on campus.
• Report criminal offenses and prepare required reports.
• Provide an adult presence during school events and patrol assigned areas.
• Assist in disaster response and emergencies as needed.
