Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide dependable, flexible security coverage on campus. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to earn more while maintaining a work‑life balance.

You will interact with students, faculty, and visitors, perform patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and complete incident reports.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors and campus community while enforcing security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and per campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance concerns or unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear incident reports and shift communications per site procedures.
