Job summary

Brenau University in Gainesville, GA is hiring a full-time Security Officer to protect students, staff and visitors. You will patrol campus, monitor access points and respond to incidents to keep the community safe.

This on-site role offers 40 hours weekly, typically 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, with some nights or weekends as needed. Minimum high school diploma and security experience required; post-certifications are preferred and a valid Georgia driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years in Law Enforcement or Security experience preferred.
• Post-Certified highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling campus by foot, golf cart, or patrol unit.
• Maintain safety by monitoring alarms and control panels.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with authorities as needed.
• Enforce campus rules, issue warnings or citations when applicable.
• Direct traffic and support crowd control at events.
• Serve as liaison with local law enforcement as required.
• Perform custodial, maintenance, information and record-keeping duties.
