Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Educational Facility Patrol Driver Response in New York, NY. You will provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors while patrolling campus areas and responding to incidents with professionalism.

This full-time, unarmed driving post requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work a demanding set schedule.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, entrances, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting policy violations, hazards, suspicious behavior, and other security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
