Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Campus Security Officer (Part Time) in Helena, MT. The role includes monitoring access, patrolling multiple locations, and enforcing site regulations to ensure a secure environment.

The position requires 18+ years old, a HS diploma or GED, and strong customer service skills. Overnight Fri & Sat 11PM–7AM with a 16-hour flex arrangement is described, with benefits and paid training available.

Qualifications

• Above average computer/technology skills expected.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with employees and guests to maintain safety and security.
• Monitor premises, control access, and patrol assigned sites.
• Identify safety issues and report hazards or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to clients and visitors.
• Utilize technology devices during shifts.
• Conduct property tours as required.
• Carry out duties for the assigned site.

Campus Security Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Helena, MT

Wage: $21.00/HR

Overnight Shift: Fri & Sat: 11PM - 7AM

The Campus Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

Flex Agreement

Work 16hrs paid for 24hrs at $21.00/HR, with the reasonable expectation officer will cover other shifts that become available due to call offs / no shows.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Driver Certification.
