Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Campus Lead Security Officer to ensure a safe, secure learning environment for students and staff. The role directs security monitors, enforces rules, and coordinates with administrators on daily security needs and events.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with a base hourly rate of $19.89, offering sick leave, holidays, retirement matched through ASRS, health and life insurance, and annual performance pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate with students, staff and public; maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to work split shifts and events.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods.
• Successfully pass agility test.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide security monitors assigned to site.
• Enforce district regulations and report infractions.
• Serve as witness in disciplinary hearings.
• Submit oral and written reports to the school/district.
• Maintain vigilance and assist in crime prevention on campuses and sites.
• Coordinate with site administrators for daily security needs and events.
• Assist with extracurricular events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration or District Security Supervisor.
