Job summary

Bowling Green State University is seeking a student employee to monitor campus security camera feeds and report activity to BGSU Police. The role includes providing on-campus walking escorts and basic security of buildings and vehicles.

Responsibilities include receiving escort requests, dispatching to appropriate personnel, and working with BGSU Police Dispatchers and Officers. Must pass background checks and have a valid driver's license; evening/night and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

Must be able to observe and identify suspicious activity.
Ability to perform foot and vehicle patrols on campus.
Strong communication for reporting incidents.
Familiarity with radio operation and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

Monitor live security camera feeds and report suspicious or criminal activity to BGSU Police.
Receive on-campus escort requests by phone and obtain requisite information.
Dispatch escort requests to student employees or BGSU Police.
Provide on-campus walking escorts and physical security of buildings and vehicles.
Assist BGSU Police when requested and work with Police Dispatchers and Officers.
Must be able to work evenings/nights and weekends.
Maintain confidentiality and pass background check; have a valid driver's license.
