Job summary

The University of Nebraska Medical Center Security team seeks a Campus Security Officer to patrol campuses and provide safety, security, and customer service 24/7.

Key duties include conducting patrols, controlling access, monitoring facilities, assisting visitors, and coordinating with emergency services for incidents and events.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, be able to pass a background check, drug test, and be CPR certified within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete on the job training once hired.
• No Experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to drive and communicate effectively in English.
• Background check, physical exam, and drug test required.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Be fitted for and able to train in N95 safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security patrols across campus properties.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and requests for assistance.
• Control facility access and manage visitors.
• Monitor patient and public safety; support parking and events.
• Coordinate with emergency services and security programs.
