Job summary

East Side Union High School District is seeking a Campus Monitor under the direction of the associate principal to patrol the school campus, ensuring safety of persons and property. This role involves daily contact with students, teachers, and management personnel on a large California campus with a focus on maintaining order and safety.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid CA driver's license, and fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Pass fingerprint clearance.
• CPR and First Aid training desirable.
• Bilingual skills desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Reports students who are out of class without a hall pass.
• Assists administration in monitoring and maintaining an orderly and safe campus.
• Assists in organizing activities for students during lunch.
• Promotes positive relationships among students and staff.
• Monitors visitors and keeps unauthorized persons off campus.
• Supervises students when school is in session.
• Patrols campus perimeters, buildings, parking lots and grounds.
• Intervenes in disruptive situations and reports incidents to supervisor.
• Enforces parking regulations and writes discipline reports as needed.
• Conducts campus sweeps after passing periods.
