Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Campus Assistant at Fireside Elementary School. The role covers 3 hours per day, 9 months, starting immediately. $15.15/hour, non-interim position, with duties including safety supervision, crosswalk coverage, classroom support and noon/AM-PM duty coverage.

The incumbent will report to the Building Administrator and aid in maintaining a safe, positive learning environment for students. Prior high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to communicate with students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe access for students to and from assigned location.
• Communicate safety policies to students, staff and visitors.
• Monitor students in classrooms, playgrounds, buses and transitions.
• Refer incidents to site personnel as needed.
• Support classroom teachers and school staff to maintain a safe learning environment.
