Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College seeks a part-time Campus Security position to safeguard the Batesville campus for students, faculty, staff, and guests. Responsibilities include patrols, incident response, and safety escorts, with evening hours possible.

The role emphasizes customer service and student advocacy within FERPA constraints. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and strong communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse communities and uphold campus safety

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment on campus by patrols (vehicle and on foot).
• Respond to incidents including thefts, vehicle accidents, property issues, medical emergencies, fires, safety hazards, and alarms.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and support student success with a positive, approachable attitude.
