Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Uniform as designated by Safety and Security.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Racially conscious and culturally competent.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of radio procedures.
• Basic organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work alone and in high stress environments.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA, FERPA, etc.).
• Collaborative work style with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to student safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus safety and high visibility to deter unsafe behavior.
• Monitor hallways, common areas, and parking lots; intervene in disputes.
• Assist with investigations using security cameras and searches.
• Document incidents and advise on disciplinary actions.
• Support after-school detention and events as needed.
• Provide security at sporting events and other activities.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
