Job summary

Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College seeks a security professional to enforce campus safety and state regulations. You will patrol parking lots, grounds, and facilities, issue violations as needed, and respond to incidents to prevent threats.

The role requires a high school diploma, two years of law enforcement experience, and DPS certification within one year. A SLED background check is mandatory for the State Constable’s Commission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years' work experience in law enforcement.
• Certification by the Department of Public Safety must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to complete a SLED background investigation for State Constable's Commission.

Responsibilities

• Enforce state laws and campus regulations to maintain safety.
• Patrol parking areas and facilities, issue tickets for violations.
• Investigate incidents, complete reports, and testify when required.
• Provide traffic control and assist visitors.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, coordinate safety actions.
