Job summary

Dimmitt Independent School District is seeking a Campus Police Officer to protect students, personnel, and visitors from harm while enforcing laws and managing crisis situations on campus.

The officer will respond to incidents, conduct investigations, and collaborate with law enforcement. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas Peace Officer License. Experience in law enforcement will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas Peace Officer License required.
• Background in law enforcement or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all crisis calls from campuses.
• Investigate criminal offenses within the district.
• Arrest perpetrators and file appropriate charges.
• Testify in court as needed.
• Work cooperatively with other police agencies.
• Provide protection to district personnel as needed.

Skills

General knowledge of criminal investigation

Education

Texas Peace Officer License

Clear and valid Texas driver’s license
