Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Associate Degree from an accredited institution, preferred.
• Minimum of three years of equivalent work experience, required.
• Current Alabama driver's license, required.
• APOSTC certification, required.

Responsibilities

• Provide foot and vehicular patrol of the campus and respond to incidents.
• Conduct misdemeanor and felony investigations including interviewing victims, suspects and offenders, collecting evidence, and preparing case files.
• Enforce criminal and traffic laws, make arrests, and issue summons as required.
• Complete detailed incident reports and monitor campus activities for policy adherence.
• Lock and unlock offices/buildings; transport mail and bank deposits as requested.
• Administer emergency first aid/CPR and respond to fire alarms when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Police.
