Job summary

United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Security Officer to patrol campus, monitor safety and security, and respond to incidents. The role is non-exempt, full-time with shift coverage evenings, holidays, and weekends.

You will conduct building checks, report hazards, enforce campus policies, file incident reports, and cooperate with local law enforcement. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid ND driver's license are required; background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ND Driver’s License and insurability under UTTC’s insurance carrier.
• Background check required.
• Previous security or safety-related experience recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus by vehicle and on foot.
• Detect unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activities and report to supervisor.
• Investigate and respond to disturbances; coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct; complete shift logs and incident reports.
• Answer after-hours calls and direct to appropriate departments; attend security meetings and training.
• Perform building checks, report hazards, and ensure doors/gates are secure.
• Issue parking citations per UTTC policy and cooperate with law enforcement.
