Job summary

Liberty Public Schools is seeking a Safety Monitor to support a safe instructional environment at Liberty High School in Liberty, MO. The role focuses on promoting welfare and security of students, staff and visitors, enforcing policies, and responding to safety concerns and emergencies.

The position is full-time for a 10-month school year with summers off; benefits include health/dental/vision options and district-paid life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Substitute Certificate required prior to start date (36 college credits or 20-hour substitute course).
• Background check must be cleared before employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and security for students, staff, and visitors; enforce school rules and policies.
• Communicate safety policies and procedures to the school community.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain security documentation.
• Monitor security cameras and supervise student movement for safe operations.
• Escort individuals as needed to maintain site security and order.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with teachers and administrators.
• Assist as needed during transitions, events, and crises.
