Job summary

Sowela Technical Community College is seeking a Coordinator for Safety and Security. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for securing and opening facilities, conducting patrols, providing emergency assistance, and training other officers.

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with six months of experience in law enforcement or security. A comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in law enforcement or security.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and provide assistance.
• Must be state certified through Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners or able to pass certification.

Responsibilities

• Secure and open facilities, enforce regulations, and conduct patrols.
• Provide emergency assistance and train other officers.
• Communicate updates with security personnel and liaise with local law enforcement.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and investigate incidents.
