Job summary

The Claremont Colleges Services is seeking Campus Safety Officers to serve as the primary security and first‑responder team across the campuses. Officers patrol, prevent crime, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with campus resources to keep students, faculty, and staff safe with professionalism and respect.

This role requires a high school diploma, valid CA BSIS 40‑hour certification, and the ability to work a 4/10 schedule across day, swing, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CA BSIS 40-hour certification and Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED; baton/OC pepper spray permits or plan to complete within 90 days.
• Post-offer drug screen and background checks required; driving record acceptable to insurer.

Responsibilities

• Protect property and community members through proactive duties.
• Patrol campuses and intervene in potential incidents to keep people safe.
• Prepare incident and investigation reports with clear, concise writing.
• Coordinate with police, fire, and other emergency responders as needed.
