Job summary

The Bethel School District seeks a Campus Safety Assistant to patrol school properties, respond to incidents, and protect students, staff and facilities. This role requires alertness, clear communication, and the ability to work with diverse groups within a school environment.

Responsibilities include handling safety concerns, guiding student behavior, coordinating with principals and law enforcement, and maintaining incident documentation.

Qualifications

• Education, training, skills and experience necessary to carry out the assignment.
• One (1) year of experience in law enforcement field preferred; training or experience working with youth preferred.
• Training or experience in drug/alcohol awareness, prevention and control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls pertinent to safety and protection of district students, staff and property.
• Provides guidance and instruction to students on consequences of their actions; discusses options and choices.
• Patrols areas in and around schools; confronts trespassers as necessary; assists in intervention of individuals who are committing or suspected of crimes on or near school property.
