Job summary

Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning seeks a Safety Officer to protect students, staff, and visitors at CHS Hershey/Harrisburg sites. You will patrol campus spaces, enforce safety procedures, and report risks to the School Operations Manager.

Starting pay ranges from $16.18 to $21.15 per hour, depending on experience. Requires an Associate degree in law enforcement or related field plus 3+ years security experience and CPR/AED certification. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in law enforcement or related field; solid background required.
• 3+ years security or law enforcement experience; CPR/AED certification preferred.
• US work authorization and ability to clear background checks.

Responsibilities

• Check doors and windows to ensure security and proper locking.
• Patrol interior and exterior campus areas and grounds.
• Enforce parking regulations and safety measures.
• Respond to safety concerns and assist staff and visitors.
• Maintain visitor logs and incident reports; place work orders as needed.
• Coordinate with local fire, ambulance, and police departments.
• Facilitate emergency evacuations and ensure PA laws compliance.
