Job Summary:
The Campus Safety Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff; protects Hospital property and equipment from theft; maintains traffic and parking control; and presents a positive image to all who visit the Hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, any higher education from an accredited college will supersede this requirement.
Licensure/ Certification: Certified through the State of North Carolina as an unarmed security officer. Certified through the International Foundation for Protection Officers as an ISOP (Initial Security Officer Program).
Experience: At least one year with a private security agency is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to interact professionally and appropriately with teammates, providers, patients and the public.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
Valid NC Driver’s License ☒ Yes ☐ No If driving a Wayne UNC Vehicle, must be 21 years old and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
