Job description

Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a “Great College to Work For,” is searching for qualified applicants from ACT 120 Certified Law Enforcement Officers to join our team of Police and Safety professionals as a Campus Safety Officer. Regular full-time opportunities available.

The Campus Safety Department provides a safe and secure learning and working environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Vehicular and foot patrols of campus buildings and grounds
  2. Event parking and traffic control
  3. Enforcement of criminal and traffic laws, as well as College rules and regulations
  4. Investigation of crimes and completion of police reports
  5. Testifying in court
  6. Assisting with educational programming and engaging positively with students
  7. Safety-related tasks such as building inspections, smoke detector and fire extinguisher checks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong desire to work in a College environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Act 120 Municipal Police Training or PA State Police Academy
  • Three (3) years of law enforcement experience, preferably in a College or University setting
  • Valid PA Driver's License and current CPR/AED certification

Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a psychological evaluation, criminal, child abuse, and FBI fingerprinting clearances.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of application.
