**Security Officer**

_We are looking for a qualified_ **_Security Officers_** _to join our Texas Health family._

**Position Highlights:**

Work location: **Texas Health Stephenville 411 Belknap TX 76401**

Work hours: PRN

**Department Highlights:**

· Security provides services 24/7, including vehicle escorts, patrols in buildings and parking areas, and response to service calls.

**Experience:**

· 2 Years security or law enforcement preferred.

· 2 Years healthcare or education preferred.

**Licenses and Certifications:**

· DL - Driver’s License Class C and insurable required upon hire.

· CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if Level 3 is held) required within 14 Days of hire.

· CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification required after 60 Days of hire.

· TASER Certification - Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification required after 60 Days of hire.

· ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually. 30 Days to complete after hire.

**What You Will Do:**

**Performs officer duties including, but not limited to:**

  • Patrolling buildings and grounds for unlocked or secured areas after hours.
  • Locking and opening doors according to schedules.
  • Providing individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
  • Identifying and removing unauthorized individuals from property.
  • Enforcing campus parking policies and citing violations.
  • Maintaining compliance with Security policies.
  • Pursuing and detaining persons involved in criminal activity.
  • Filling out incident/offense report forms and composing narratives.
  • Providing directions within the facility.
  • Interacting with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Providing vehicle assistance.
  • Patrolling campus interior, perimeter, and parking.
  • Completing reports by recording observations, information, and surveillance activities.
  • Reporting and escalating situations to the Threat Management team as appropriate.
  • Providing quality customer service to employees, visitors, and guests.
  • Greeting people courteously using the 10/5 rule.
  • Providing directions and assistance to employees, visitors, and guests.
  • Offering general information about Texas Health campuses.
  • Providing transport and escorts to and from campus parking lots.
  • Responding promptly to calls for service and emergencies.
  • Assessing situations and utilizing appropriate de-escalation measures.
  • Using critical thinking and appropriate force levels.
  • Responding to and activating emergency response codes.
  • Interacting with emergency personnel as required.
