Overview

Position: Campus Safety Officer (Full-Time)

Shifts are between 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM/Midnight, with shifts lasting 8-10 hours and occasional 12-hour shifts. Weekend work may be required, with days off scheduled during the week.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $20.00 per hour plus a $1,000 bonus after 90 days.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct physical patrols, monitor CCTV, and manage access control systems.
2. Respond to emergency calls, including medical emergencies, theft, fire, and safety incidents, and contact emergency services as needed.
3. Participate in safety programs and report incidents to the Manager or Supervisor.
4. Maintain logs and detailed reports of security activities.
5. Develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, and emergency personnel.
6. Follow safety practices and work to prevent unsafe conditions.
7. Assist in identifying high-risk areas and reducing risks.
8. Enforce laws, policies, and procedures on campus.
9. Assist in evacuations during emergencies and drills.
10. Provide safety escorts on campus.
11. Manage lost and found property.
12. Distribute mail, assist with event setup, answer security calls, and handle requests.
13. Cover shifts as needed due to absences or holidays.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors and management.
