Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree is required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a sergeant.
• Graduate of Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy.
• Licensable by the RI State Police.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational oversight and incident coordination.
• Supervise sergeants and officers; enforce laws; lead major incidents.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies.
• Provide leadership during emergencies and serve as commander-on-call.
