Job summary

University of La Verne is seeking a Campus Safety Officer Supervisor to lead daily operations of campus safety personnel, including officers and dispatchers. The role focuses on safety, security, and wellbeing through effective oversight of patrols, incident response, and emergency preparedness.

The position requires 3+ years in security/public safety with 2+ years in leadership, a California driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Administration of Justice or related field or equivalent combination of college and experience
• At least three (3) years of relevant security or campus safety experience
• Two (2) or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate campus safety personnel, including officers and dispatchers
• Oversee patrol operations, incident response, and emergency preparedness
• Develop staff and coordinate training and professional development
• Serve as field operations supervisor and point of contact for internal and external partners during shifts
