Job summary

Paul Smith's College seeks a Director of Campus Safety to lead safety programs, supervise staff, and coordinate with local and federal agencies. The role oversees emergency management, training, and compliance with safety reports.

The position requires background in college safety, strong leadership, and the ability to act as a goodwill ambassador for the College. Certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED are preferred or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred in safety, criminal justice, or related field.
• Experience in college safety or security is required.
• Ability to act as a goodwill ambassador for the College.
• Must be certified or able to obtain Basic First Aid, CPR, AED, and related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement campus safety policies and procedures.
• Supervise Campus Safety staff and manage security operations.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies as needed.
• Collaborate with administration on Emergency Management planning.
• Oversee safety training and drills for students and staff.
• Ensure compliance with Clery Act reporting and records maintenance.
