Job summary

Alamance Community College seeks a Campus Police Officer to serve as a sworn law enforcement professional promoting a safe learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The role combines traditional policing with community engagement and campus service.

Officers respond to emergencies, enforce laws and college policies, deter crime, and provide proactive safety education across campus. Qualified candidates must be sworn NC officers with BLET and a valid certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) and certification as a law enforcement officer in NC.
• An Associate’s Degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and surrounding areas by vehicle, bicycle, or foot.
• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, alarms, and safety concerns.
• Enforce state laws, local ordinances, and college policies including traffic and parking.
• Conduct investigations, write incident reports, issue citations, and make arrests when necessary.
• Provide safety escorts and assist with campus events and safety education.
