Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a security-focused staff member to patrol the school complex, monitor student activities, and report unauthorized persons. You will help maintain safety on campus and reinforce positive behavior among students.

Additionally, the role includes light housekeeping to keep the environment free of litter and hazards; some duties may be assigned as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Crossing Guard training may be required.
• Basic safety and security principles, practices, equipment, and procedures; customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Provides a security presence at the school complex by walking around the facility and monitoring activities and students; reports the presence of unauthorized personnel to the school office.
• Monitors activities on campus to ensure the safety of students, which may include: identifying safety violations; diffusing situations among students; reinforcing positive social behavior
• Performs minor housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks to keep the environment free of litter and/or dangerous situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
