Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to deliver excellent customer service and support store operations on campus. You will greet customers, assist with transactions, and help keep the store tidy and inviting.

This role requires a friendly attitude, basic math and data entry skills, and willingness to work during peak periods and weekends when the semester starts or ends. Training and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability for peak periods (semester starts/ends).
• Basic math, keyboarding and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit.
• Take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register and ensuring speed of service.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Seasonal positions require work during peak periods and occasional weekends, with scheduling flexibility.
