Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Campus Retail Associate to deliver superior customer service and support store operations. You will process transactions, greet customers, and help keep the store clean and organized.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old, with a positive attitude, basic math and data entry skills, and flexible availability including peak periods during the academic year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and focus on delivering a positive experience during their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register and ensure speed and accuracy of transactions.
• Keep the store organized by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and tidying product displays.
• Temporary positions require availability weekly for up to 90 days with occasional weekends and flexible opening, midday, or closing shifts.
• Perform routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, windows, vacuuming, and trash removal.
