Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Campus Retail Associate to provide superior customer service and support store operations on our campus store. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and keep shelves tidy.

Flexible scheduling, including peak campus periods, and benefits like employee discount and sick time accrual are available. Applicants must be 18+ and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and focus on their positive experience throughout their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Seasonal positions require work during peak periods (semester starts/ends), occasional weekends, and scheduling flexibility.
• Routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.
