Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Campus Retail Associate to deliver superior customer service in our campus store. You will support store leaders in retail operations, greet customers, process transactions, and help keep the sales floor organized and tidy.

This temporary, on-site position offers flexible scheduling, daily pay options, and employee discounts. Ideal for team players who value customer engagement and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and excel in a fast-paced team.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Temporary positions require availability to work weekly for up to 90 days with occasional weekends and flexible shifts.
• Routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
